Distance interpreting has been around for longer than some of us have been practicing.[1] Then why is everyone talking about it as if it were brand new? Easy: remote simultaneous interpreting, one of its modes, has been fitted with new clothes and it is, well, AWESOME.

I love my job. I know, I am lucky! The agencies that hire me usually go beyond the norm. But their clients have no idea of the work we do, the preparation required, the pressure we perform under and the minimum requirements for us to deliver at the level they want.
